Health Care Assistants are in high demand and are essential members of the health care team. HCAs provide care and support to individuals in a variety of settings, including private homes, community settings, long-term care facilities, and hospitals.
At UFV, we blend classroom learning with labs and supervised clinical experiences to prepare students for a rewarding and meaningful career in health care. Our 28-week program is designed to provide students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to deliver safe, respectful, and empathetic care. Our graduates are well prepared to work in a variety of health care settings.
The UFV HCA program is recognized by BC Care Aide Registry.
