What is my involvement in the scheme?

A Liberty SIPP allows you complete control over how you invest your money.

Neither EBS Pensions Ltd nor Liberty Trustees Ltd will give investment or financial advice; you are the driving force behind your saving for retirement, as well as how and when you take your pension.

Liberty Trustees Ltd will be the sole trustee for the SIPP and the only signatory on the SIPP bank account but all instructions with regard to investments or any other SIPP transactions must come from you as the member or from your financial adviser if one has been appointed.

The only difference to this will be if you choose to invest in a non-standard asset or UK commercial property.

In these instances Liberty SIPP will require that you become a co-trustee of this part of the SIPP along with Liberty Trustees Ltd.

You will be required to sign a supplemental deed which will appoint you as a co-trustee for this part of the SIPP and means that you must make decisions in the best interests of the beneficiaries of the scheme (you and your dependents).

Please note the value of investments, and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may not get back your original investment. We do not offer advice about the suitability of our products or any investments held within them. Should you require financial advice you should consult a suitably qualified financial adviser
