Can Liberty SIPP reclaim VAT paid on property investments?

It is possible to register your Liberty Pension for VAT whereby any VAT paid on the purchase price of the property could be reclaimed, as well as any VAT paid to contractors for development or refurbishment costs. However, it would be necessary to charge VAT on the rent. Quarterly returns would need to be submitted to HMRC and any VAT received would need to be paid across.

Liberty Pensions Ltd will deal with the administration and our fees will reflect this.

Please note the value of investments, and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may not get back your original investment. We do not offer advice about the suitability of our products or any investments held within them. Should you require financial advice you should consult a suitably qualified financial adviser
