In a time where on-line SIPP dealing companies are never out of the headlines it is odd to find a SIPP company concentrating on a SIPP share dealing service which is low tech and enables their clients to adopt an old fashioned relationship with a stockbroker.

Liberty SIPP Discretionary Management Service (“DMS”) for SIPP clients

This is a service that has been set up in conjunction with Hedley and Company Stockbrokers (“Hedley”) which gives our clients access to specialist advice which in any other given situation may be out of their reach. This is mainly because DMS is traditionally very much the preserve of wealthier clients – many companies insist that they would not be interested in any clients who have less than £250,000 to put into a share portfolio.

This is not very inclusive and has fuelled the creation of other routes for purchasing shares which may be more accessible but not necessarily the most appropriate one for people to follow.

Within a SIPP wrapper there are obvious advantages for people going down the well trodden path of setting up an account with one of the household names in internet share-dealing. This is a very popular route and the companies who supply the various platforms to do this are excellent.

• What if you want to develop a share portfolio but don’t have the time to manage it?
• What if you are new to stock and shares and want access to advice and a wider range of investments that are available via the internet based dealers?
